ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Day 4 of the August Daily Episode Challenge ... @johnemotions

Her O, sometimes I feel like I'm in one ofthose a little clear vacuum: Tubes things these to have with the banks andjust show up at your at your door. Fo Hi, I'm John Welcome back to Emo Dojo,I'm John Hi, I'm John! You guys watch Dave. Ilove that show it's like a generation, Z version of curb your enthusiasm. Ifyou like neurotic humor check out Dave, F, pretty dope, we like it, I got allupbeat stuff today. I had to get this podcast done quickly because I'mrunning out of daylight and day time, I need to go to bed and I just wanted tomeet my commitment. So this podcast is for August. Fourth, I'm doing a dailychallenge like a podcast to day an episode a day for allof August. Okay, so real quick! I don't know if you have an instagram account, but if you do you probably get ads for...

...devices? Well, I don't know- maybe justI do, because I'm in that algorithm so long and short of it, I get ads forinteresting devices. I did a couple of episodes about. Well, I talk about itpretty frequently the lifted thing, transcranial direct current stimulation, basically of rains apper. I use that. I, like it I'll, tell you more about that, and since I started, I don't know talking about that or whatever I got inthis other algorithm were see more ads, but clicked on one ad for a thingcalled the Apollo, Nero the Apollo Nero now. What this is. It looks like aboutthe size of an Apple Watch. Strap it on your wrist or your ankle is a differentstrap. You want to put it on your ankle. I thought the ankle strap looked a bitmuch like a home detention situation down there, so I just wear it on mywrist and then the Apollo Nero comes with an APP for your phone. You justgrab the APP open it up and you'll see...

...a bunch of different settings likeabout eight different settings like calm or focused or social, whatever right, and you just basically pick whatever mood you want to vibe in,and so I put it on pick the moon, let it rip so what it does. I guess, depending on the mood you pick, it changes the vibrational intensity andduration and oscillation, and things like that. There's a lot of thingsinvolved with vibration, but it changes them apparently has then tuned to thehuman nervous system at specific frequencies velocities and such so.Okay. Here's what I think it feels like if you ever have a cat kitten. What not well just imagine youlaying in bed or on the easy chair, the couch or whatever, and the cat fallsasleep on your wrist and after about five or ten minutes, yeah scrut leavecat there well en cat starts purring. Now. Imagine that perrine feeling onyour wrist, that's almost exactly what...

...the apoll of Nero feels like a catpurring on your wrist, and you might say well what good is that I thoughtthe same thing at first. I wasn't sure what good it would be if I liked it and just felt acute forlack of a better word feel like I got a kitty on my wrist. So, apparently, whatit's doing is it sending vibrations up your wrist into your nervous systemthat correspond with your fight or flight and mechanism? That's somethingelse we should talk about to you know. When people talk about fight or flight, they often forget that there's a third one. That's equally important T scalled freeze a lot of people just freeze in life too, like you know whatI mean they, they don't they're, not scared enough to run the angry enoughto fight back. So they just kind of freeze. Well, that's dangerous, too, because life and earth and everything keeps moving forward, so freezing iseffectively going backwards too. I digress. This thing, though, works withyour nervous system. In that sense, it...

...reminds your fight reflect nervoussystem that you don't have to fight or fly or freeze. How did they know it?Does that I don't know I'm going to have them on the podcast and ask themthese questions, and apparently you can't use it too much. The more you useit, the better. Your nervous system becomes at self regulating at not goinginto fight or flight or freeze mode. I've used it in many many occasionshave used it in company meetings. I've used it driving I've used it at bedtime. I've used it watching television. I've used it a lot, so I've collected-HMM, I'm not sure I'll have to check the hours. I think you're supposed toget a thousand hours, and I'm probably up to about seven hundred hourscollectively and to be honest with you, I think it has caught my fight orflight reaction a couple of times a couple oftimes when I'm just like get the fuck out of here. I got to getout of here and then either the buzzing on my wrist or like a ghost buzzing, when I'm not even wearing the thing...

...will occur and I'll just think about itfor just for a spot. Second, but that's long enough for me to catch myself andwhen I catch myself, I used a trick like Oh. I just realized that I have afeeling that I want to get the fuck out of here so by doing that by the I justrealized kind of men lets. The whole scenario know that I'm on to you that I had a feeling that separates thefeeling from my person and then I named the feeling- it's not so bad anymore. So in that aspect, having a little vibrational thing likethe Apollo Nero on your wrist does kind of help. But I don't know exactly how IM M super curious and there's a whole bunch of this missing. It's not in theliterature, it's not on the website. I want to talk to a God, Damn scientistand find out what's really going on here, it's overly simplified. Basically,I want to get more into the nuts and bolts of why they set the frequenciesat the ranges that they did that's never explained, and for three hundredand fifty bucks I would want to...

...explanation. Fortunately they were kindenough to send me one of their risk bands to talk about which I'm talkingabout, but I also have lots of questions and they said I think I gotan email back confirming that they would be on a podcast. So let me comeup with some good questions and we'll have the people from Apollo Nero comeon and talk about their vibrational device for the wrist, the abalone allright, here's something cool to watch now. If you bought an apple device ofsome sort, those chances are pretty high. You have apple TV or apple plus, whatever the fuck, it's called, I think it's apple plus the TV show that youcan watch on TV. All the TV shows Ted Lasso all that stuff, so wow Ted Lassois great, really funny big Fan of Jason Sadako's. I think a lot of people aremissing out on this show called physical. The cover art work makes it look likethat other Netflix series with Mark Marin as the glow wrestling.Ladies Bit,...

...the art work, looks like that, but onapple plus the cover is for physical and you look at is like what is thatlooks like a aerobic or something? Well, that's it! It's a dark comedy yeah! I don't comedy it's almostdrama, but it's a dark comedy about the origins of those silly aerobic videosback in the s Scot great performances. Everybody's crazy there's neuroticpeople all around hearing people's back stories as wild the main character. Youcan hear her thoughts while she's saying something else to the person infront of her, so you can hear the contradiction and what kind of personshe really is compared to the person she's pretending to be in you know inher life and everybody around her is US crazy anyway. Good storyline, thoughsuper cool, I'm like I would bin Watchin if I could, but they only comeout once a week, so must be patient all right. Well, I am hitting the road toMorrow August fifth M I'll find a way...

...to get a podcast up, I'm not sure aboutthe sound quality or the studio I'll be in, but I'll make it work. In themeantime, I hope you have a great day. You'll talk to you tomorrow from Emoo,I'm John Cho, and now back to the wall.
