ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Day 8 of the August Daily Episode Challenge

PPSD. It was for post pandemic stress disorder. So whereas it's a thing. Yeah, so a lot of people, he thinks, are just going to go on for years. You know people, and you just listed a whole bunch of things, you know, like bad news headlines, restricted diet, restricted social interactions, sitting around in a box, trapped all day, and fear, fear of germs and fear of the other and political strife and government intervention and all these things like that. That'll fin and this, this is going to be the new normal. That's the sad part. Well, yeah, or what we call a commonplace. It's not. It's just fucked up to this. Weird to think how everybody's brain has been altered by being forced inside, due to a pandemic, to stare at screens. Now,...

...if we didn't have screens to stare at, we'd be reading books. Yeah, that would probably be better. Yes, most definitely, because they can't keep changing them up on you and trying to fucking manipulate you for a click or like or a notification if it's a book. Yeah, exactly, and your brain interprets what it is you feel or my God, don't I see, see, but when you're reading those words, your brain starts painting a picture your own way. You're not affluence. It has to anything else outside just rice those words. Yeah, I like that a lot. Yeah, me too. Me Too. I remember reading the Star Wars Book before the movie came out and trying to figure out what the fuck is that word? TATTOOINE? Like, I didn't. There's a many words in that book. I'm like all the RON system. Okay, Oh, you read the Star Wars Books. Yeah, likes R to D to. Obviously was just spelled out like it is in same with see three, pio, hand solo or...

...the haunt. I thought was hand Solo. Luke skywalker was easy. Princess Leah, I thought it was so. Yeah, yeah, it turned out to be Laya. But you know when, year over year, nine or ten years old and then we cla. Yeah, and when you're when you're just approaching ten, eleven years old, you're like Princess Leamy. Yeah, Oh, yeah, especially after the movie came out, like Whoa, foxy Skywalker, foxy lady with the Buns, those Nice Oh oh, better get that out of there. Something's on the railroad tracks. I got it watching the audio our audio is it's being recorded going across the screen and I noticed in one of the tracks there's a piece of audio in the way. Better move it, click, you're going to get recorded over. I'm not sure what it is. Got Out of the way, though. I think it...

...was the outro or and now back to the wow, that guy, and now back to the wall. That's good. The Mo if you had. Well, yeah, you're doing you're doing some really cool ten minute podcast things. I'm enjoying listening to your perspective flow. It's work, man, but you know, I'm getting faster editing. That's good. Well, yeah, you don't have a fucking hour to deal with. Your just, you know, spewing it out and it sounds like you're not doing you're doing it all in one take. You're not like shit, that suck, let me start over. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, and that's why I'm saying that's bit of ball and thing. Sometimes I flew a word and I'll repeat the word and just chop it out. But yeah, now loving a word is no big fucking deal. Dude. You got exempt of love the words so, so, so bad. I just you go pull one of those. Let me literally. Sometimes I fuck up a word so bad I got to...

...like flipper my tongue and my lips together to get it out, whatever was in there, get it out of the way. Welcome to my world, where sometimes my brain puts the second word first. Yeah, just pouring out of your fucking brain down towards your mount mouth, I'll muscles or whatever, and I can't see it. My eyes aren't back there watching it come out. I'm like, Oh, here it comes a word. I'm going to regret it now. I don't use to say words. I regret what I my biggest crime and grammar is using the wrong word all sometimes I'll use a word that sounds like the word I meant, but it means something totally different, which could make a difference if I'm saying, yeah, you need to get your virus shot, like that. Yeah, but you don't get caught up in your head. You just let it flow out, which normal people do. And then there's people like myself that's second guess, and think Whoa, okay, that's yeah, I have to stop myself. That's not the correct word. So I I correct myself during the thought. Right. You're...

...like, HMM, is that right? Let me, let me Google that look totally. I do that when I write, is for sure. When I write. I'll got the thesaurus up when I write all the time because I'm like, I want to use a cool word, but I just used the word that meant the same thing, so I got to find a different word. Yeah, yeah, but you free flow out. You're not writing that shit down and like reading it and absorbing it, are you? No, no, Hey, no, no way, Jose do that drove me crazy when I tried to do a fucking podcast with Rafael. I want to do what I like to do, just talk, like let's bring up an idea and talk about it. And his ASS. He saw when you want to do this and I'm like yeah, ten o'clock tomorrow morning's fine. It's like, okay, well, let me know because I'm going to need some time. And I'm like okay, okay, ten o'clock tomorrow more. That's what I was thinking about. All right, whatever, Dude. So I see him up like two am, fucking high, cocaine, probably smoking his...

...cigaretto on the couch. Is Type, type, type, type, type, and my to what the fuck, what's going on? And he's like, dude, I don't know. If I'm going to be ready by ten am and like ready for what? Like for a podcast? Like what do you mean? Stay? got a scrap on the hello and all. Yeah, it's like I got half the First Section written and I'm like Oh my God. I'm like yeah, don't worry too much about that, dude. So the next day put on the mic and he just starts read from a script. Sounds exactly like he's reading from a script. I'm like yeah, Bro, that's awesome. We never did a second episode. That was the downfall of his personalities. He wasn't willing to just kind of flow. Everything had to be structured to him. Yeah, I might have been a military thing. Maybe that was drilled into him there or I mean, it would work with other people like that. I'm just not that kind of person, which is weird because we're both Aris is. So yeah, I get it. I got it from that point of view, like okay, you're a...

...structure aries, but I'm not, and there's no way you're going to make me the same thing. There's no way I was going to make him unstructured. That's just how Ari's are. Just ahead. That was the headbutting issue. I'm like all right, cool. Yeah, all you can really do is make the suggestion of, dude, we're turning on the mics and we're just going to have a conversation like we didn't have mics around. Yeah, what I mean? Well, and I compared it to his fucking sports shows he always had on. Right, I might dude like that, like sports talk. It just not sports will be politics dot. It's like, yeah, I don't think I could do that, which, again, I guess if you're, if you're in your head in that sense, then you can't, because I get in my head, like I overthink everything, but when it comes time to letting a rip, I I don't know. I think it's just practice. I don't know, got to be when I was recording last night's podcast. I'm want you it's wanting to do it that way instead of just having a scripted structure to read. I mean, you might as well be a you might as well be a voiceover guy. HMM. Do...

...you think it's the type of people? Do you think you could spend more time with people if they were different? That's actually very good question. Um, I have yet to, I guess, meet someone that really stimulates my brain to go God, I like hanging around you a lot, you know. Yeah, yeah, for sure, even after even people I like, after about three or four hours, I'm like, all right, it's cool, I'm ready to go. Yeah, totally, totally. It's not necessarily back home, but it's just to the next thing. See, you call it the next thing, I just call it like I just need some space. So whether it's but I don't think it's not necessarily space. Yeah, it's not necessarily space with me, because if I just change those people and move on to a different party, a different house, a different group, you know, to me that's enough. I because it doesn't have I don't...

...have to go be alone, I just have to change. If I had that option, sure, I have to change, change scene. I got okay, this is don't have that option right now, especially being at this age, it's very difficult to you know, really exactly making new friends at is. That's a challenge. Man, fifty during the pandemic, where everyone's locked in your box. Well, there's a little bit of that in just I think there is a little bit also of what I'm talking about in other people as well, where they would just rather stare at their screen then you know, engage and have conversation. That's something that's also missing, is the conversation part. I you. You know me well enough to know I could. I could talk about just about anything. It's just a matter of where the stimuli comes from. If we have an argument grade, you know, maybe that's good lot conversation. In fact, when I get a house, I'm making sure it's going to have a conversation. And now back to the...
