How are you doing? Peak Covid-19 Update from John Emotions

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

John Emotions checks in from the pandemic in SW Louisiana. Things are sketchy, but looking up! Not infected, but feeling the affects of the media. Looking to nature for answers.

It's only head and now it's onlineBible this stylecom yes, an emotions with Bible it style. WHOO. Yeah, it's a lot to live up to. So I kind of feel like aDick because the episode before last I was all about a tournaments, likeyeah, you got to go talk to people and see people facetoface and goexplore new churches in real life. And obviously since then this bizarre ass virusis taken over and now nobody's allowed to go hang out with each other. So, Um, I guess I should reiterate some cool things to do ifyou're like feeling shitty and alone in your room or your house or whatever anddon't have any pets or family or whatever. We'll talk about that in a minute, but I want to catch you up on what's going on anyway, like why I haven't been making as many...

...of these podcasts and why probably won'tcontinue to make a lot of them. But you know, since a lotof people are kind of panicked getting really anxious about not going outside, Ifigured why not throw another log on the fire have another podcast? So,anyway, here's what's going on. We came down from, obviously a whileback, from about a year ago now, from California over to Louisiana. Weare up in the ARC LA text they call it Arkansas, Louisiana Texasarea. That was shreveport, and stayed there for a little bit. Camedown to a town in southwest Louisiana where we're kind of trying to do somerenovations, start assign company and things like that. You know, things youcan do when you have mental conditions that make you not want to either conformor just can't get out of bed sometimes or need to not have a bossshouting over your shoulder or whatever. So...

...anyway, you could always do ityourself, try entrepreneurship. So we got down here and then what was reallycool is, as fate would have it, two of my sons are they wereready to move on from where they were like for whatever number of reasons, the same way I always am, and they had an opportunity to comehere. So the cool thing is that they're here with me. In fact, if hear any noise in the background there, they're just chilling while I'mdoing this podcast as well. In fact, you for them on those past topodcast, Nick and Jack. So we're basically doing the whole social isolationthing together, which is great. It's kind of a boring generally, butit's great to be around people I love and haven't been around for a while. So we're doing all over, catching up on fucking, you know, podcast and youtube videos and, you know, sharing different movies we've liked and haven'tseen together. So that's pretty fun.

I like that and I wish everybodyhad that same opportunity and I feel, I don't, for lack of abetter word, blessed. Not a religious person, but I feel likewe got really fortunate to kind of if you're going to be stuck together,be stuck together with people you love. And we also happen to be stuckin a town where it's pretty socially isolated anyway, or physically distant from oneanother. Just a lot of space between people. So, since we're alreadydistant from each other anyway, practicing whatever social distancing, physical distancing as Icall it, is not difficult out here. We I mean, you can gofor a walk around town and nobody goes for a walk. It justone of those towns. They'll wave at if from the car and we'll waveback, but otherwise it's and it's not much of a change. But thecool thing is we've got plants. The cool thing with all this downtime hasallowed us to kind of craft some really...

...cool plans for the future that involveall of the things that we each love together working towards a common goal.So that should be a lot of fun. You know, I was checking outsome of the things people were doing with APPs and on the Internet. There's one cool thing you should check out I thought was really neat. TheComic Maria Bamford is doing shows through zoom, through the zoom APP, and she'spaying her staff and she's donating half of the proceeds, proceeds proceeds tothe downtown Women Center and Los Angeles, which is a great organization. Checkthat out. I know Becky at that B word podcast and I we're talkingabout doing like a Hollywood squares with the bunch of people from the mental healthkind of twitter environment. But then I found out that Skype, in thisprogram I'm using, ECAM live, won't...

...allow for nine consecutive squares like agrid. So kind of put that on the self forgot to tell becky aboutthat. Anyway, Becky, that's what happened then the software won't hold fuckingnine squares. So what do you do anyway? So there's some cool ideasthat you can do using technology. So that's kind of what we're getting to. If you want to start a group or anything like that, I wouldhighly in coourage you get on twitch or a gaming platform. Animal crossings isout now, and anything where you interact on almost real time doing something that'snot looking at viruses. Fuck that's so much better for your mental health andstaring at the news and worrying about what the president or the governor or whateverthe fuck saying. Not saying to diminish germs. Obviously. What I'm sayingis what you focus on grows. I've said that many times. And ifyou're just going to focus on germs and viruses, that's really all you goingto start seeing and then you'll drive yourself...

...fucking crazy. That's kind of thereason why I don't like doing this podcast as much. I mean not tonot to Piss off the party, but when you have some kind of disorderand the you know, it always changes, the diagnosis always changes, comes aroundfull circle and does the whole thing and you know, we just pickwhatever want I had at the time and so let's do a podcast about that. But again, what you focus on grows, and if I just sithere and focus on a mood disorder, will always notice my moods. Well, sometimes if you just fucking focus on a thing that you like to do, like starting a new business or working on our art project or, Hey, even crafting a podcast, sometimes it's just fun if you stay focused ona different thing other than that. So I'm working on different PODCASTS. Theboys and are putting together podcast called jive Bros. That kind of serves ouraffinity for for the Jive, for the...

...weed and the marijuana. We wereall big fans, I would say, spokespeople or activists or whatever for it. But we're going to do the give Bros. If you want to findout more about what we talked about there, you welcome to it. And alot of my buddies from across the country we call in and talk abouttoday's events. You know, typical white guy podcast stuff, I guess, but you know, we feel we do it in a honestly, we liketo talk to each other and hang out, so we might as well record itand just get practice talking on the MIC's Mike Technique, recording technique andpushing the buttons on the fucking, you know, production gear. So that'llbe. That will do. Give Bros, and once in a while it mighthit up bipolar style. But I switched over. It did little littleflipflop with twitter accounts and then I dumped the main one. So now Ididn't not follow you personally. If you're listening to this and like what thefuck do you but do you want follow...

...me? I just why would? Why would I do that? I don't know you now. I just dumpedall those accounts and took the one that had the most people left over with, which was a different account. I think I have on some accounts.I have, I think, like more twitter accounts than I actually have followerson some of them. It's fucking ridiculous. Anyway, pulled the fast one witha twitter and dumped off the Bisy poler style people, dumped off thejohnny emotions people. I think I locked both of those counts of the privateso whoever was was in the gate already. Well, congratulations, welcome to theparty. Everybody else will just communicate through a fucking podcast. Hey,why not? Far The thing with twitter that was driving me crazy was that, well, we have tons of listeners that download the podcast, not toomany of you are like twitter engagers or whatever, and the handful that wereI didn't really see or hear from that often. So it just became likefeel like I'm just talking into the air...

...really. So, anyway, that'swhy I'm just need free my mind, look at stuff, go out innature. So we actually found a cool place to go. We had todown this one road in town and it took us two dead ends and atthe dead end, how about that was a fucking river. Was Amazing.Check it out. I'll send pictures. And there's nature. There frogs andgators and turtles and bugs, lots of bugs. Well, it brings meto another thing. We might get to go work on a farm. Yeah, because I think the farm hands got sick and we might get to gowork on a farm. This should be fun. Take picture of that Shittoo. Know. Anyway, I just want to check in real quick. Not really going anywhere. I'm just not producing a lot of shit, butI am okay, fine. I'm out here in the middle of nowhere, effectively away from networks of people. I'm...

...not in a working for a homelesscompany, you know, nonprofit helping homeless people. I don't have that kindof stress and everything's generally okay. Now we're just moving forward on our planand trying to make something happen while the world is basically stopped. So Iwish US luck there and check us out at Jive Broscom or, you know, on twitter, wherever, at give Bros. I'd happy to see youthere and go to buipolar stylecom and by got themn t shirt, would youokay? Cool, eleven minutes is plenty of me talking. Thanks for joiningand talk to you later. Style. I cheese five. He's so stupid. And now back to the wall.
